Ryoji Ikeda

Taken from atop kunanyi or Mount Wellington, a tall beaming tower of blue white light stretches from within a golden sea of the lights of Hobart high up into the night's sky. The sky is dotted all over with starlight.

A great pillar of light reaching fifteen kilometres into the night sky. We usually switch it on for the winter and summer solstices.
